THe Valet Barber & Shop Gift Card & Carrier

A perfect gift for him…

New! – The Valet Gift Card

Makes a perfect Christmas gift to hang on the tree, it can be loaded up to any amount and comes with a smart gift wallet and a personalised message

We’ve recently designed and produced a Valet credit-card style gift card that you can top up to any value of your choice, which will also sit very nicely in your own or your partner’s wallet. Just ask at reception on your next visit to obtain one and get it charged up. This way, on every visit to our point of sale, you will simply need to produce your Valet gift card with your own personal barcode which we then scan to debit the value of your treatment or product purchase.

Ask for or send a Valet Gift Card this Christmas

These also make a very welcome Christmas present to hang on the tree, as they come in a very smart gift wallet with a personal gift message. Alternatively, our online payment facility is available through your online booking account. All online deposits and gift cards will automatically be assigned to your client account. You will also be able to log in to your online account to book an appointment and pay for your service upfront. This will aid social distancing as when you have finished your appointment you can just leave the shop without needing to come into contact with our reception staff.

If you don’t already have an online account you can tap/click the button below. All you need to do is enter an email address and create a password.

Considering a restyle for Christmas? Be sure to book the right service…

We know many of you have grown out your hair during the lockdowns and subsequent months and are liking the length, which has created an opportunity for a new style.

We are offering free consultations via Facetime or WhatsApp so you can let your barber know what your requirements will be prior to your appointment. This will also allow us to properly allocate the correct appointment length for you. Please note that a re-style appointment will be booked for 50 – 60 minutes.

If you think you might be considering a restyle and are planning on booking your next appointment online, then please be sure to book the correct service by selecting the Re-style option and not the Esquire option, as this will only cause further delays for other customers and will result with you being charged more than you expected on the day or you may even be asked to reschedule your booking .

Please let us know if you will require a video consultation when we book your appointment or simply send us a request for one by email with your mobile number and we will arrange for one of our senior barbers or stylists to call you.

We look forward to seeing you all in the Barbershop in the lead up to Christmas.

Reopening December 2nd

Boris says we’re back to business next week!

The PM says ‘We can reopen on the 2nd’

From 2nd December we have 21 opening days until Christmas.
We still have room at the Inn, but urge you to book now.
Our phone lines will be open from 9:00 am on the 2nd Dec.
Online requests are currently being managed from our back office.
We will operate 100% within the Covid guidelines.
Christmas at the Valet, always an enjoyable experience.

Despite various incorrect media announcements and some confusion over the 24-hour clock, the Prime Minister confirmed on Monday 23rd that all non-essential businesses are allowed to reopen their doors from the start of Wednesday 2nd December, regardless of the tier they fall into. Regional tiers will be announced later this week on Thursday 26th November.

From the 2nd December, we will operate our usual hours of business up to Christmas Eve. Our opening times in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year will be published shortly.

Since the recent announcement by the PM , we are now seeing online bookings coming in hard and fast. So don’t delay, get online now to get your pre-Christmas trim reserved. Please note some online bookings maybe subject to a slight time alteration within a 30 minute time slot, but in any event you will be notified of this a day prior to your appointment and this will also be confirmed on your booking text reminder.

Will barbershops close down our pubs?

What makes us stand out from the crowd?
How many guys are taking the pandemic seriously?
How important are Covid safe guidelines to most clients?
Are men bothered about Covid when visiting their Barbers?
Why are most of our clients comfortable visiting our shop?
What changes have we implemented since re-opening?

As we start to see a second wave of increasing Covid infection in London, it’s all the more reason to play things extra safe in our day to day activities.

In their last announcement, the Government introduced a 3 tier system in the UK to help us all understand and maintain infection rates from spiraling out of control again. As of the date of this post the London Borough of Croydon is currently set in tier 2, and as such is considered high risk, which is all the more reason for us all to maintain a sensible attitude and considerate approach with our day-to-day routines.

We’ve got the Green Light

We’re open but ask that you #Stay Alert

Yes, we’re now officially back in business with effect from July 4th 2020. We hope you’re all safe and well and looking forward to a nice fresh trim.

Following the Government’s recent announcement of further lockdown easing and publication of COVID-safe guidelines for close contact businesses, we have now been given green light to re-open on Saturday 4th July at 10:00 am. There will be three phases for booking appointments.

Phase 1

For those of you that already had an appointment booked prior to lockdown and those who are on our standby list, please keep an ear out for that call, as we’ll be contacting you in within the next 24 hours to get those appointments re-booked.

Phase 2

Online booking will re-open this (Sunday 28th June) at 10:00 am. If you haven’t already registered click here to access our appointment book or alternatively get our app below. Please note we will be also accepting booking requests via our contact us page.

Phase 3

Our telephone lines will reopen for bookings on Friday 3rd July between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Read More

Hello Gorgeous

When will i see you again?

When will I see you again?
When will we share precious moments?
Will I have to wait forever?
Will I have to suffer, and cry the whole night through?
When will I see you again?
When will our hearts beat together?
Are we in love or just Barber friends?
Is this my beginning? It’s certainly not the end…

The prospect of getting a fresh haircut is certainly now on the horizon, but we’re still a few weeks away.

In the last announcement, the Government confirmed that all none essential businesses were to re-open on 15th June, but this excludes personal care and hospitality businesses such as Barbershops, Beauty salons, Gyms, Health Clubs, Bars and Restaurants – which are to keep their doors closed until at least the 4th July. # Stay Alert

We hope you are all safe and well and would firstly like to express our gratitude for all the supportive messages that we have received during this testing time.

We have, of course, been inundated with enquiries from customers asking when we will be opening, or indeed if we are open? We’re not sure how many of you have been keeping an eye on the media or the government briefings, but for those of you that need bringing up to speed, read on. As we are considered a ‘close contact’ business we fall into the same category as Restaurants and Bars and based on the PM’s recent announcement, it’s unlikely we will get the green light to re-open until at least mid-June to early July.
